Petron rolls out dedicated motorcycle lanes at select outlets

No more bike-riding customers cutting the lines

Cars and motorcycles will always fight for space on our roads. But that type of scenario happening at a gas station is unacceptable. Petron thinks that jumping queues really does occur, and that it is often the cause of arguments and fistfights among customers. It is also one of the main reasons why the oil company has decided to put up dedicated lanes for motorcycles at select outlets.

It’s probably not a bad move as this will allow gas stations to funnel motorcycles and tricycles as fast as possible. These vehicles often take less time to fill up compared to cars, which is why Petron saw it fit to give them their own space at the station. And if queue-jumping happens again, it’ll likely be the riders fighting among themselves and leaving the car owners alone.

The dedicated motorcycle lanes are now in place at select branches in Metro Manila and Luzon. Outlets in Visayas and Mindanao will follow suit. Given that competition is now stiffer with smaller industry players putting up modern facilities, Petron likely wants to up its game by improving the customer experience.
