Yamaha goes artsy with a huge mural in BGC

Its Mio motorcycle makes an appearance

Not a bad way to make BGC a little more colorful. PHOTO FROM YAMAHA

Folks who regularly go through Bonifacio Global City already know that many buildings feature murals that say something or other. On a traffic-free Sunday, it’s not unheard of for people to take pictures of these artworks for Instagram.

Well, Yamaha Philippines has added to BGC’s interesting collection with its very own mural at W Global Center. The mural is a collaboration with the Bonifacio Art Foundation. A bold “WHAT’S YOUR CULTURE?” dominates the center of the piece. Each frame of the mural is arranged to resemble a textile-type look using the concept of weaving. According to Yamaha, it aims to visualize how everyone in the community can be of service to one another, regardless of culture.

There’s probably a bit of soft-selling in the mural with Mio motorcycles integrated into each frame, showing their integral role in our daily lives. Of course, art being art, you can totally interpret it in whatever manner you like and you wouldn’t be wrong. And whether you think it’s impressive or not is also up to you, because that’s how it goes with ahrt, pare.

In any case, props to Yamaha for showing us that it’s not always about technical specs and sales targets.
