Kia reveals new-generation Sorento SUV in photos

Featuring a wider, more stylish tiger-nose grille

The South Korean automaker Kia is one car company that has a formidable stable of crossovers and sport-utility vehicles. Around the globe, the brand has the Soul, the Stonic, the Seltos, the Sportage, the Mohave, the Telluride and, of course, the midsize Sorento. Well, the firm has just released the first official photographs of the fourth-generation Sorento, which is due to be launched at the Geneva Motor Show next month.

One look at the pictures and it’s immediately clear that the all-new Sorento is so much better-looking than the outgoing model it is about to replace. Much of this impression is largely thanks to a refreshing face that boasts a new interpretation of Kia’s signature tiger-nose grille, which has now been rendered wider and more aggressive with sharp angles. The manufacturer describes the vehicle’s overall exterior styling as “refined boldness.”

Not much information has been provided for the new-gen Sorento, other than it will have a 10.25-inch touchscreen for infotainment purposes and another 12.3-inch high-resolution digital instrument cluster for the benefit of the driver.

The all-new Sorento will be formally introduced during the press day of the Geneva Motor Show on March 3. Until then, we’ll have to wait and see what sort of mechanical and electronic goodies are tucked under that gorgeous sheet metal.
