In February, Nissan released official photos of its much-awaited Navara-based SUV, simply named Terra. At the time, however, no technical specifications were provided, leaving curious customers in suspense.

Well, the Japanese automaker has just revealed some of the basic numbers and figures anyone who’s interested in the Terra would want to know, although these are likely for the Chinese market. We’ll just enumerate them here for your easy reference.

• Engine: QR25 gasoline
• Horsepower: 180hp @ 6,000rpm
• Torque: 251Nm @ 4,000rpm
• Overall length: 4,882mm
• Overall width: 1,850mm
• Overall height: 1,835mm
• Ground clearance: 225mm

Nissan added that “a 4WD-DIFF lock system allows for increased control, while hill descent control helps maintain speed control in steep downhill driving. The Terra is also equipped with hill-start assist.”

Of course, the Terra will have Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies, including lane departure warning, blind spot warning, around-view monitor, moving object detection and intelligent emergency braking. Seven airbags complement these safety features.

Inside, the five-passenger cabin will have Zero Gravity seats and a purported best-in-class loading capacity. The “upgraded and enhanced” audio system, meanwhile, will have the capability to mirror your smartphone.

Nissan’s latest SUV will be shod with 18-inch alloy wheels, and made available in six exterior colors:

• Gold Metallic;
• White Pearl;
• Brown Pearl Metallic;
• Silver Metallic;
• Black Solid; and
• Red Solid.

China, of course, gets the vehicle first, as the Terra was designed and is built there. The press release only stated that the Terra “will come to other select markets in Asia later this year.”
