After the successful launch of the all-new Civic last November, Honda Cars Philippines has just announced that the middle variant is finally here. The Civic V Turbo CVT Honda Sensing, priced at P1,498,000, is now available for viewing at all 37 showrooms nationwide beginning today, February 15.

This variant, which revolves around the grand concept called “exhilarating Civic,” focuses on human-centricity. The Japanese automaker continuously evolves by understanding market and lifestyle needs, and aims for total customer satisfaction while keeping the highest safety standards.

This feature-packed offering comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged VTEC engine at its core, delivering a satisfying 176hp and 240Nm through a continuously variable transmission. The mature-looking vehicle comes with LED headlamps with daytime running lights and fog lamps at the front with handsome LED taillights at the rear, and stands on 17-inch alloy wheels (an inch smaller than those found in the range-topper).

An inviting interior showcases a seven-inch touchscreen display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay mated to an eight-speaker audio system. Comfort is elevated with automatic climate control with vents for the rear row. For the driver, a customizable seven-inch digital display with an analog speedometer comes as standard. The information shown on the display can be changed via the controls on the steering wheel.

This variant has a five-star rating under the updated 2021-2025 protocol of the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP), which conveys the firm’s pursuit of “Safety For Everyone” with its Sensing suite of features. This is in line with the brand’s 2050 goal of going carbon-neutral and creating a collision-free society. The latest generation of safety features includes the following:

  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Low-speed follow
  • Collision mitigation braking system
  • Lane-keep assist system
  • Road-departure mitigation
  • Lane-departure warning
  • Auto high beam
  • Lead car departure notification

As we’ve shared before, this mid-variant comes in three finishes, two of which are new colors. Those are Morning Mist Blue Metallic, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, and Platinum White Pearl (at an additional cost of P20,000).

To spice things up, HCPI is throwing in a financing promo until the end of the month. Those who wish to avail of this variant can pay as low as P27,692 per month with a 20% all-in down payment on a 60-month payment scheme. Of course, computations may vary from bank to bank. If you wish to learn more, feel free to check out the virtual showroom or visit a dealer near you.
