The new Peugeot 3008 is yours for P2,090,000

Fancy a swanky French crossover?

Shortly after its change in distributorship, Peugeot Philippines launched the newly refreshed seven-seater 5008. And now, its smaller, five-seater sibling is the next model to land on our shores.

The new 3008 is the second vehicle out of the four new models the automaker, under its new distributor Astara, plans to introduce. It is also set to open several new dealerships this year, with the one in Alabang being the first to open in March, and the Cebu and Davao branches to follow very soon.

The older 3008 was an already good-looking compact crossover, but Peugeot’s latest design language works particularly well on this smaller body. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels, has a frameless grille, and comes with the signature fang-like illumination, full LED lighting, and the 3D claw signature taillight—all adding to a bold design that looks unlike anything else on the market.

The interior gets updated with a new premium trim. There are leather seats (but the massaging function is now absent), a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and a wireless charging pad. The brand’s i-Cockpit is still front and center with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, but the infotainment screen is now 10 inches big and supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

There is also a suite of active driving aids, like blind-spot detection, active lane-keeping, and advanced driver attention warning.

There is only one engine choice for this year, and it’s the 1.6-liter Twin Scroll High Pressure gasoline engine that’s mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The power output of 165hp and 240Nm should be more than adequate to keep a vehicle of this size lively enough to drive around.

Just like its siblings, this vehicle will be sourced from the Stellantis manufacturing plant in Gurun, Malaysia. The new 3008 will be available at P2,090,000 and will come in four colors: Metallic Copper, Nera Black, Pearl White, and Amazonite Gray.

If you’re interested to book a test drive for this model, you may visit the dealership nearest you. Check this website for more information. You may also get to see this crossover in the metal at the Peugeot booth in Alabang Town Center from February 11 to 28, where it will also be displayed alongside the new 5008.
