Lexus reveals themed vehicles based on Marvel’s ‘Eternals’

Each character gets a matching custom car

Thanks to the pandemic, it’s been a while since we’ve watched movies in the cinema. Plenty of big releases have been relegated onto streaming services, but fortunately, with the (gradual) reopening of theaters, we’ll hopefully be able to catch Marvel’s Eternals on the big screen—one of the more anticipated titles of 2021.

We’ve seen the franchise collaborate with Lexus in the past. In 2018’s Black Panther, the LC500 and the GS F got some screen time chasing baddies in Toyota 4Runner SUVs. The automaker also created a custom LC500 based on the movie.

Lexus doing it again for Eternals, but this time, a good chunk of the product lineup gets wrapped with custom designs. These are inspired by the characters’ armor, iconographies and powers. Additionally, all vehicles have a golden glow coming from the grilles and the underbody (like the tuner scene in the 2000s) that “reflects the characters’ shared energy signature as seen in the film.”

The spruced-up vehicles consist of the following:

  • GX for Ajak (Salma Hayek)
  • GX for Druig (Barry Keoghan)
  • LX for Gilgamesh (Don Lee)
  • LX for Phastos (Brian Tyree Henry)
  • LS for Ikaris (Richard Madden)
  • IS for Kingo (Kumail Nanjiani)
  • RC F for Sersi (Gemma Chan)
  • RC F Track Edition for Makkari (Lauren Ridloff)
  • NX for Sprite (Lia McHugh)
  • LC500 for Thena (Angelina Jolie)

Unfortunately, the UX, the ES and the LM don’t get any love. The models that were chosen match the specific traits of their respective characters, but we won’t be getting into details for those who are sensitive to spoilers.

The images you see here are renders, but the vehicles should look much better in real life. Some of the cars have already made an appearance at the red-carpet premiere.

What do you think of these custom Lexus models?
