Formula 1: Drive to Survive is one of the main contributors to the motorsport’s revived popularity in this day and age, even if it did have to stretch the truth several times to almost reality-show levels.

While this may irk hardcore fans and enthusiasts alike, it’s also the easiest way to introduce someone to the sport without having him (or her) sit through an entire race weekend. Or it may also be a (dramatized) recap of the entire season that could be binge-watched in one sitting.

With the 2021 season being one of the most memorable and controversial years of the sport, it was most likely that the directors of the show excitedly twiddled their thumbs with the amount of drama it brought—the crash between Valtteri Bottas and George Russell in Imola, the unexpected wins from Esteban Ocon, Sergio Perez, and the McLaren 1-2 finish at Monza, to name a few.

Let us not forget the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which could probably make it into one entire episode unedited. We could go on and on, but it would probably be best for you to watch the series if you want something easier to digest.

The fourth season of the gripping show will premiere this March 11 on Netflix, just nine days before the 2022 opener at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
