The cars of the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed

These photos will make you feel like you went to the event

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is, without a doubt, one of the biggest gatherings of petrolheads and automobiles on the planet, with tens of thousands of people descending upon the Goodwood estate in England every year to celebrate all things automotive. This year, we joined the fun and made our way around the vast compound on the last day of the festival, camera in hand. The results can be found in the huge photo gallery below, which includes everything from current supercars to classic vehicles.

Although the weather supplied some liquid sunshine at the start of the day, the organizers still managed to put on an amazing show, with countless race cars and the odd celebrity wooing the crowds. Racing legend Sir Jackie Stewart was celebrated for the 50th anniversary of his first British Grand Prix win at Silverstone in 1969 and also for his 80th birthday. This year also saw a special focus on Aston Martin, with the brand celebrating its 70-year racing legacy with a collection of truly amazing and ultra-rare models.

As usual, there was a strong focus on race cars, with current and previous Formula 1 cars as well as some old-school speed machines delighting the visitors. A whole collection of Michael Schumacher’s cars gathered to celebrate his 50th birthday and racing achievements. Check out the pics.

Ah, if only we had all the money in the world to acquire many of these lovely cars. PHOTOS BY FRANK SCHUENGEL
