The Toyota GR Supra (and other cars) gets Lego-fied

Every car comes with a matching Minifigure

Actually, we just want that cute Minifigure with the Gazoo Racing top. PHOTO FROM THE BRICK FAN

Lego is one company that makes people of ages seven and up work for their dream cars brick by brick. From the complex and incredibly detailed 3,600-piece Technic Bugatti Chiron to the more accessible Creator Expert Porsche 911 and the kid- (and wallet-) friendly Speed Champions Nissan GT-R, there is a set for nearly every budget and skill level.

With that, you and your kids (mostly you, don’t deny it) are probably going to be excited about the newest additions to Lego’s Speed Champions catalog for summer 2021. This latest wave has one heck of a lineup.

The single packs go for €19.99 (P1,150) each. You get hypercars like the Koenigsegg Jesko and the McLaren Elva. Also, Japan’s hottest sports car at the moment—the Toyota GR Supra—finally gets a brick version.

On the other hand, the double packs feature two cars from each of America’s “Big Three” manufacturers. Prices start at a cool €39.99 (P2,310). For Chevrolet fans, you have the Corvette C8.R and the 1968 Corvette. Dodge is represented with the SRT top fuel dragster and the Plum Crazy 1970 Challenger T/A. Finally, Ford has the GT Heritage Edition and the Bronco R.

There is no word yet on when we will be seeing these Lego sets at our local toy stores. But you can bet that we’ll be getting that yellow GR Supra the moment it becomes available.
