If you happen to own a high-performance McLaren car, you probably want to look good when driving your track weapon around Clark International Speedway during weekend fun runs with your fellow supercar enthusiasts. The Sparco McLaren SP16+ race suit will help you achieve that goal.

This suit is manufactured entirely by hand by Sparco in Italy, and is said to take a total of 12 hours to make. Besides being FIA-certified, these racing overalls are also touted as the world’s lightest at just 590g for a regular size 52. This, McLaren claims, represents a 10% reduction in weight compared to other racing suits.

According to McLaren, the SP16+ has been in use by its race drivers since 2016, and now owners of the brand’s road cars may order it for a minimum price of £2,344 (P157,000), excluding taxes. Among the highlights of the suit are “an ultra-slim zip, seamless Nomex wrists and ankles, reduced neck and shoulder pads, and ultra-thin thread for the stitching.” It also features “special two-layer construction of fireproof material” to ensure you’ll walk away alive should your P1 or 720S get engulfed by flames after you violently crash it against a tire wall.

McLaren also offers other racing apparel to perfectly complement your SP16+ suit, including track wear (£30) and racing shoes (£232). Place your order and be the envy of your group on your next track day.
