Mitsubishi Motors Philippines is recalling its Xpander MPV due to defective fuel pumps. Although the automaker didn’t specify any actual incident of the part failing on customer cars, it is nevertheless taking the proactive approach of issuing a service bulletin for the affected models.
Only a certain batch of Xpanders is included in the recall. The units were purchased between May 2018 and October 22, 2019. Depending on the availability of spare parts and servicing bays, the replacement of the fuel pump should take approximately 90 minutes. The procedure is absolutely free of charge.
