It seems the Land Transportation Office is keen on providing more than just car registration and driver’s licenses services as it launched its new Central Command Center today. LTO C3’s main goal is to help address and solve vehicle-related crimes, and this will be made easy with its partner mobile application, CitiSend.

Citizens can use CitiSend to report incidents on the road. It will be a direct line to the agency that promises to give solutions and attention to the factors that affect the safety and the security of the public. This means it will be easier for people to ask for help with mishaps on the road.

“The Department of Transportation has an uncompromising stand on road safety,” said DOTr secretary Art Tugade during the inauguration of LTO C3. He added that the center and the app make up a good system to further ensure heightened safety of our thoroughfares and their users.

LTO assistant secretary Edgar Galvante said that C3 is one of its flagship programs that was built to empower each and every road user. It will serve as the “central nerve” of the agency’s Operations and Law Enforcement Service.

Carnappers, riders on motorcycles with no plates, and vanity plate users are some of the people whom the LTO C3 would be after as it is focused on eradicating problems that compromise road safety. “This facility will change millions of our fellow Filipinos’ lives as it ensures that LTO will be able to help them more,” DOTr undersecretary for road transport and infrastructure Mark Steven Pastor promised. “Mababawasan ang road crashes, araw-araw mare-resolba ang mga krimen na may kinalaman sa ating motor vehicles.”

For Android users, you may download the CitiSend app on Google Play Store. Apple users may have to wait to be able to send rants report problems on the road.
