This Facebook page is humorously swapping front ends of cars

Most amalgams are meh, but some are admittedly amusing

Apparently, grafting a car’s face onto another automobile’s body is a thing now. A Facebook page called “Unnecessary Automobile Nose Swaps”—or @CarsGetRuined—has been combining front and rear ends of vehicles to humorous effect. The idea seems to appeal to bored petrolheads: The page was created only in January this year, but has already attracted close to 50,000 followers.

We have to admit that the concept is immediately intriguing. It’s not every day you see a ride with the body of a Porsche Carrera GT and the countenance of a Dodge Ramcharger—or the haunch of a Chevrolet Corvette spliced with the visage of a Chevrolet Blazer. Once the novelty wears off, however, the images quickly become old and tired, although a composite here and there does make you think the person (or group) behind this exercise is onto something.

We guess car fans around the world could use the distraction while in quarantine. Check out some of the automotive nose swaps below (and do give the page a like if you dig what you see).
