These are the fees you must pay to use Skyway Stage 3

You must be gearing up for July 12 as this is the first day that Skyway Stage 3 will be charging its users. The Toll Regulatory Board has recently given operator San Miguel Corporation the green light to start collecting toll fees. This comes after almost seven months of letting motorists use the elevated tollway free of charge.

SMC has stated that the fees will be lower than the ones proposed earlier this year. They indeed are, but only by a small margin. Refer to the tables below:

In addition, use of the elevated expressway will be currently limited to Class 1 vehicles, or those with up to two axles and measuring 7.5ft (2.29m) in height. The idea is to have light vehicles occupy Skyway Stage 3 to decongest at-grade sections for trucks and buses. But with the toll fees that SMC will be collecting starting on Monday, it will be interesting to see if such a scenario will indeed take place.
